Through The New Jerusalem Trust we have been offered an opportunity to build and run an U23 academy to continue and follow up our work in Pollsmoor Prison. The trust owns two farms, Hebron and Philadelphia in Citrusdal, Cape Province. The trust established the farms with a vision to use the land and buildings for those who have been released from prison, orphanges, schools, youth camps and much more. Ambassadors In Sport has been given permission to raise funds and build an academy for ex-inmates on Philadelphia.


There is a need for training centres for ex-prisoners in Cape Town. There is an urgent need for programmes to help and to give opportunities to ex-inmates (inmates). Unfortunately very few centres offer training after prison and the ones which do have certain restrictions and long waiting lists. We believe that the proposed centre is fundamental in the work we carry out with juvenile prisoners - we cannot leave them 'to make it on their own' as many of them end up back in prison.
